Winter Books for Kids

| | | |

One of my favorite things about the changing of seasons is the books! I store seasonal books separately from the rest of our books, so it’s always so fun to pull out the new (old) books as the seasons change. In our house, we store also winter books separately from Christmas books. So as the holidays come to a close, it’s time to pull out a new set of books. This brings a fresh spark into our homeschool, our rhythms, and adds a little excitement to the bummer of putting all the Christmas decor away. I put together a list of some of our favorite winter books for kids that I think your kids will also love!

where to find books

I’ve built our library over years and years (during my years as a teacher and now as a parent/homeschooling mom for 13+ years). We buy most of our books used; I rarely leave a thrift store without at least one book. Some of my other favorite book sources are:

Thrift Books – get 15% off your first order when you use my referral link
Half Price Books – I have better luck in store than online
Books 4 School – this company is amazing – they sell new books at really low prices, and you don’t have to be a school to buy from them. If you’re local to Madison, WI you can pick up free or they ship anywhere
Usborne Books – these are some of my absolute favorite books for our homeschool!
Christian Book – watch for sales – they have great ones!
Amazon – I particularly look at the used books when purchasing via Amazon:

Happy reading!!
