A home filled with books is a home filled with connection.

Let’s grow readers, writers, and relationships that last a lifetime!

The books you read and the lessons you teach matter—but the family culture you create matters most.

And a family culture of reading creates life-long readers.

Let’s be families that reach for books over screens.

Let’s take reading instruction beyond apps and worksheets.

Let’s create a family culture of reading.

Hi, I’m Jess!

I’m a former elementary teacher turned homeschool mom to five boys (18yo down to 9yo), and this is my natural habitat: book in hand, talking and learning with my kids.

My heart is for families – to see you build a family culture where learning grows naturally through books, conversation, and shared life.

The Literary Lounge is here to give you exactly what you need to choose connection over screens, ditch the busywork, and nurture learning without schoolish systems.

The Literary Lounge feels like a hug of encouragement for the things I’m doing well with my kids, and a helping hand on the things I’m lacking in all at the same time!
-Amy

FAQs

This is for parents of kids in any grade! Whatever ages your kids are, there are book recommendations, resources, and support for your homeschool.

There are resources in the VIP resource library for all levels, PreK-12. So you get language arts for the WHOLE FAMILY in one place!

When you join as a basic member, you’ll get curated book lists, e-books and PDF guides, plus on-demand access to video teachings and courses that will support you in your homeschool and as you build a family culture of reading. You’ll get select family learning resources, plus all live calls and podcast episodes.

VIP members have access to all that PLUS the huge PreK-12 language arts curriculum resource library. This also comes with my signature Homeschool the Non-School Way course where you can learn how to ditch the school system mindset and cultivate a life of learning.

When you register, you will be asked to create a username and password (or log in with your current username and password). You can immediately access the membership via the login page. You will also receive an email with all the information you need. You can always find the login page in the dropdown menu at the top of the website. If you have any trouble, contact us hello@siloandsage.com.

When you become a member, you’ll have immediate access to the membership page. When you’re logged in, you’ll be able to download and print PDFs, stream videos, listen to the podcast, get links to live calls, and access The Lit List with the curated book lists.

VIPs will also have immediate access to the PreK-12 curriculum library and resources.

Nothing will be mailed to you, which means you get instant on-demand access to everything.

You will have access as long as your membership is active.

You can work through everything inside the membership at your own pace. If you miss the live calls, you can watch the replays on your own time. So it takes as much time as you want to put into it! The courses inside the VIP membership will take some extra time to work through, but again – they are self-paced; so you can binge the videos and watch them quickly or spread them out and watch over a period of weeks or months! It’s all up to you. :)

This is a recurring subscription, so you will be billed according to which membership level you choose – either quarterly or annually. You may cancel at any time on the membership page (within your account information), and your access will go through the end of the pay period.

Due to the nature of digital products, I do not offer refunds. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and your access will go through the end of the pay period.
