Why use essential oils?
Essential oils come from plants, so they are 100% natural. Instead of using synthetic materials to take care of our bodies and stay healthy, we can turn to the healing properties of plants. Oils might seem new and trendy, but they’ve been used for thousands of years in thousands of ways! How do you use essential oils?
There are three common ways to use essential oils: smelling them (straight from the bottle or using a diffuser), ingesting them, or putting them on your skin. Each of these different ways gets the essential oils into your body. Once the oils get in, they’re smart and know what to do to help you. You can put a digestive blend of oils on your feet and STILL feel it working in your belly!
Essential oils work quickly and it doesn’t take much to do the job. One simple drop will reach your heart and thyroid in 3 seconds when inhaled, your bloodstream in only 22 seconds, and will reach every cell in your body in 20 minutes when applied to your skin!
Why can’t I just get my oils from the grocery store? They’re so much cheaper!
Cheap oils are cheap for a reason. Unfortunately, there’s little regulation around essential oils, so companies can put whatever synthetics or fillers they want into the bottle and call it “pure essential oil.” Young Living has been around for 25 years and is known for their Seed to Seal standards – you’ll only find pure oils in their bottles, with NO synthetics or fillers, and ZERO pesticides.
