Description

The Explore the Weather study is a literature-based beginning study of the weather for PreK-2nd grade students.

**All of these pages are included in the larger Weather Unit Study for grades PreK-6**

This unit study is designed to guide families in learning about the weather through books, writing and drawing prompts,learning invitations, and more. In each topic section, you will see suggestions for teaching multiple ages/ability levels.

An extensive book list resource and picture books is included, but this unit could be completed with any weather-related books you have on hand.

This unit study covers topics like:

• types of weather
• seasons
• clouds
• water cycle
• wind

The topics are covered through learning invitations, writing and drawing prompts for a variety of ability levels, experiments, art and poetry, sensory bins, and story baskets.

No other supplies are required for this weather study, beyond everyday objects and materials you’re likely to have at home!
