I Will Make: Because She’s Worth it!
When Andrea from The Train to Crazy and Go To Patterns emailed me about an exciting idea she had, I could not wait to get involved. Andrea has joined up with a group [ShesWorthitCampaign.com] that is raising money to fight the horrific battle against human trafficking and slavery.
500,000 chidren between the ages of 5 and 15 years are forced into the sex trade every year.
This campaign focuses on girls and women who are forced into sex slavery and prostitution.
Sometimes when I think about the numbers, I get overwhelmed. And I truly wonder: what can I even do?? How can I make a difference?
Along with Andrea and other bloggers, we’re teaming up with the She’s Worth it Campaign to raise money and send handmade gifts to deliver to women and girls who are in recovery after being rescued from slavery. Bracelets and zipper pouches might be small – but they are something we can do to show them that they are loved and valued and that the Father hears their cries.
Here’s where you come in. Can you make a zipper pouch or a bracelet of any kind to be a part of this campaign? And can you donate just $10 to help these women rebuild their lives? For all the details on where this money goes and where you can send your bracelets and zipper pouches, click over to Andrea’s post.
Along with several other bloggers, I’ll be sharing a tutorial next week to help you make a bracelet or zipper pouch to send to these women and girls, who desperately need to feel how loved they are. Because they ARE loved and they ARE worth it.
Thank you SO SO SO Much!!!! We are SO very thankful to have you on the team. I can’t wait to get to Cambodia and send you pictures of the precious children in The Father’s House and to bring your presents all around the world to convey to these precious women and children that they are SO very valuable!! It will never again be a statistic b/c you know them now…you will know them even more in the coming days. They will be your sisters, your nieces, the ones for whom your heart cries out for their freedom. And you are doing something!!! Thank you. You are bringing them beautiful freedom and restoration!
