Some Weeks You Just Don’t Win [or why it’s okay not to]

Some weeks, babies wake up early from their naps every day. Mostly because of their older brothers.

And you mis-trace the same pants pattern twice. In an hour.

And the house is messier than it is clean.

And boys fall off the bed and hit their heads on the dresser and need five stitches. And are subsequently fairly crabby.

And you change one too many poopy diapers.

But some weeks, you realize that crabby kids usually make better snugglers.

And that you forgot you had more of the fabric you wasted with your sewing fail.

And you remember that five stitches could’ve been six… or worse.

And oh yeah, shorter naps mean early bedtimes.

Sometimes, winning comes disguised as losing.
