Seasonal learning is a fun way to change up your homeschool days, to keep it fresh and exciting for your kiddos. You can grab a special unit study for spring or you can just add in some new activities to your daily rhythm.   • Start a vegetable garden and record the progress in your nature journal
  • Plant herbs or greens in a vertical garden planter
  • Read books about seeds and plants

  • Do a family botany study of trees, seeds, and leaves
  • Visit the same location (a pond, hiking trail, etc.) every week and record the changes within your nature journal
  • Read books on how to care for the Earth
  • Do a spring cleanup at the park or on a trail
  • Use your favorite spring picture books for creative writing prompts
  • Hatch and raise baby chicks
  • Collect frog eggs and raise tadpoles to release back into the wild
  • Set up a bird feeder and document the visiting birds in your nature journal

  • Track the rainfall for a period of time and make a graph together
