Buying gifts for everyone during the holiday season is both fun and also a little overwhelming at times. You’re trying to stick to a budget, you want your gifts to be meaningful, maybe you’re spending time making some gifts, and you want to give gifts that are useful! I’ve put together some gift ideas, including some of the 2021 season’s Black Friday deals.
Through Monday, my entire shop is 30% off! Printables, sewing patterns, AND all homeschool and parenting courses! Don’t miss this, because this is the BIGGEST sale of the year! Use code BF30.
For the seamstress:
This time of year is a great time to upgrade your sewing machine, because there are usually great deals going on. I really like Sewing Machines Plus, because they have good prices year round.
Sewing patterns are the perfect gift for a seamstress – you can find them at ANY ability level. Have a tween or teen who wants to start sewing their own clothing? PDF patterns are a great way to get started, because the instructions are very clear, you get multiple sizes, and you can easily reprint pages if you make mistakes when cutting.
A couple of my favorite shops are having sales this weekend:
For the homesteader:
Know someone who wants to raise chickens? These chicken tractor plans along with a gift card to a hardware store for supplies would make the perfect gift.
I love love love my two Greenstalk Garden vertical planters. They are amazing for small yards, for using in a greenhouse, or even to use inside during the winter! Their entire store is on sale, and you can stack my code SILOSAGE for an additional $10 off.
You can find more gardening favorites, from hoop houses to books, HERE.
From waffle makers to dutch ovens to sustainable scrub brushes, home items are always a win for a homesteader!

For kids, moms, and homeschoolers:
When I buy toys for my kids, I usually try to buy used first, and I make sure that the toys we buy will last for a long time, through multiple seasons and kids. I don’t want the toys to be something they use once and never touch again. Here are a few tips I shared last year on Instagram, with my own criteria:
I have a couple of gift lists in my Amazon storefront of tried and true gifts we love and have used in our home over the years.
Gifts fo rkids ages 3-7
Gifts for kids ages 8-13:
Books are never a bad choice for gifts! I have a lot of book lists over in my Amazon storefront, but my favorite place to buy new books is Usborne Books. They have some of the best non-fiction books and you can get free shipping on orders $75+ THIS SATURDAY only!
Handicraft, sewing, and embroidery supplies are a great gift for kids. Try making a DIY craft box!

We love the easy reader books from Dash Into Learning – they’re one of my favorite tools for learning to read. Use code DASHFRIDAY to get 30% off all curriculum and books right now.
For the health conscious:
Non-toxic makeup, essential oils and diffusers, safe lotions, and more… these are all perfect gifts for anyone who is switching to cleaner products. Some of my absolute favorite health and wellness companies are having big holiday sales:
