DIY All Natural Surface Scrub

I’ll be the first to admit that cleaning isn’t my favorite thing to do. But being a mom of five kids (and a human being who makes messes without the help of those tiny people), I have to clean a lot. But chemical cleaners are not my jam. So I buy and DIY non-toxic cleaning products, like this all natural surface scrub, that can be used on sinks, tubs, basically anywhere you need an extra oomph of cleansing! This DIY all natural surface scrub is quick and easy to make, so read on for the recipe.

So throw out your chemical scrubbing cleaners, and whip this up:

DIY All Natural Surface Scrub

Ingredients

1 cup baking soda

1/4-1/3 cup liquid castille soap

20 drops Citrus Fresh essential oil

10 drops Lemon essential oil

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl – it should have a pasty consistency. Start with 1/4 cup Castille soap, and add more if needed. You could also sub Thieves Household Cleaner for castille soap. Will make between 6-8oz (2 4oz jelly jars will work perfectly to store this!)

Here’s my kitchen sink on a normal day. It’s an old porcelain sink that stains really easily.

Spread this around your sink, tub, anywhere that needs a little extra scrub. Let sit for at least 15 minutes. Spray with Thieves Cleaner, wipe down, and rinse! This will smell amazing when you’re done!

So easy, and now you don’t have to worry about all the side effects of toxic chemical cleaners!
